Curtin College’s Diploma of Health Sciences gives you a supportive pathway into a range of Curtin University health degrees, with the opportunity to progress into second year of your chosen degree after successfully completing your Diploma.

Located on Curtin’s Bentley Campus, you’ll be part of university life from day one — with access to libraries, sporting facilities, labs, student clubs, cafés and other Curtin facilities.

Whether you’re starting university for the first time, returning to study, changing direction or looking for more support as you begin your university journey, Curtin College can help you take the next step towards your goals.

Curtin College could be right for you if you:

• Have completed Year 11 or Year 12 through a General or ATAR pathway
  For most Curtin College courses, an ATAR is not required. If you have successfully completed Year 12 General or ATAR studies, you may be eligible to enter a Curtin College Diploma, subject to course entry requirements.
• Have completed TAFE, VET or other recognised qualifications
  Your previous study may provide an entry pathway into most Curtin College Diplomas. This can include Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma or other recognised qualifications, depending on the course.
• Want a more personalised university experience
  Study in smaller classes with personalised attention and support as you transition into university-level study. Your dedicated Learning Advisor can help you develop study skills, manage your time and stay on track, while professional counsellors are available for confidential wellbeing and personal support.
• Want to build your academic confidence
  Develop the academic, research and study skills you need to succeed at university. Build your confidence, become a more independent learner and feel prepared to progress towards your Curtin University degree.

Need help paying for your studies?

You may be able to study now and defer your tuition fees through FEE-HELP, an Australian Government loan scheme that helps eligible students pay all or part of their tuition fees.

As an approved Higher Education Provider, Curtin College can offer FEE-HELP to eligible students, helping you access your studies without having to pay your eligible tuition fees upfront.

Are you eligible?

You may be eligible for FEE-HELP if you:

• Are an Australian citizen and study at least part of your course in Australia; or
• Hold a New Zealand Special Category Visa (SCV) and meet the eligibility and residency requirements; or
• Hold a permanent humanitarian visa and meet the eligibility and residency requirements.

Eligibility requirements apply, and you’ll need to provide supporting documentation.

How does it work?

When you apply to Curtin College, you’ll provide the required documents to confirm your eligibility. Once you receive your Letter of Offer, you’ll be provided with information about your available payment options, including FEE-HELP if you are eligible.

If you choose FEE-HELP, you’ll need to complete the relevant government requirements before your loan can be applied to your eligible tuition fees.

20% loan fee

A 20% loan fee may apply to FEE-HELP loans for eligible fee-paying students. The loan fee is applied to the amount of your loan and does not apply to students who are subsidised by the Australian Government.
