Curtin College Summer School

Curtin College Summer School is for you if you:

  • did not get the grade you needed this semester,
  • want to fast track your first year of studies.

Summer School is open to students from Curtin College, Curtin University, and other university’s.

What can I study at Summer School?

The following units are available and are taught by a combination of University and College staff at Curtin College.

Health Sciences

  • Integrated Systems, Anatomy and Physiology

Engineering

  • Calculus for Engineers
  • Engineering Programming
  • Linear Algebra and Statistics for Engineers

Summer School Dates

Classes: 2nd January – 12th February 2020.

Exams: 13th & 14th February 2020


Census date: 15th January 2020.

How to apply for Summer School

I'm a Curtin College student

  1. Visit the Student Portal or Curtin College reception and download/collect an Enrolment Variation form.
  2. Complete the Enrolment Variation form and make payment of fees.
  3. Return the Enrolment Variation form to Curtin College reception or email it to academic.services@curtincollege.edu.au.
  4. Curtin College admissions will asses your application respond via email.

Note: If you are applying to attempt a unit for the first time, you will need approval from your Program Coordinator.

I'm a Curtin University student

  1. Download the Summer School application form below.
  2. Return your completed application, Curtin University transcript and a scanned copy of your passport to admissions@curtincollege.edu.au
  3. Curtin College admissions will asses your application respond via email, including an Offer if your application is successful.
  4. If your application is successful, accept the Offer, pay your fees and follow the instructions to enrol online.

Note: Curtin University students may only enrol in a unit if they have previously attempted it.

  3. Curtin College admissions will asses your application respond via email, including an Offer if your application is successful.
  4. If your application is successful, accept the Offer, pay your fees and follow the instructions to enrol online.

Note: You must have already completed at least four bachelor units.

What you need to know

  • All lectures and tutorials will be on-campus at Curtin College, Bentley.
  • You may only enrol in a maximum of two units.
  • Any unit that does not meet the minimum student requirement will be cancelled and a full refund will be provided.
  • Unless otherwise stated, normal College policies and procedures apply.
  • On successful completion of summer school, Curtin University students may apply for Credit for Recognised Learning (CRL) at Curtin University. Please note that units completed at Summer School may not contribute towards your Course Weighted Average.
  • Students from other universities should check whether Summer School units will qualify for Credit for Recognised Learning (CRL) or Recognised Credit for Prior Learning (RPL) at their university.
