Service Taught Unit
Service Taught Units are units where Curtin College students join Curtin University students in the same classroom. Such units are taught by university staff and Curtin College students will be enrolled as Curtin University students. Curtin University Policies and Processes will apply to these units.

Students investigate the nurse's role within the health care team through the application of relevant professional standards governing the practice of registered nurses. Students engage in problem-solving, communication skills and decision making with reference to the nursing process; assessment; planning; implementation; evaluation; discharge planning and documentation; relevant to scope of practice. Planning of care is based on best practice nursing evidence with a focus on person-centred and integrated health care.
