Service Taught Unit

Service Taught Units are units where Curtin College students join Curtin University students in the same classroom. Such units are taught by university staff and Curtin College students will be enrolled as Curtin University students. Curtin University Policies and Processes will apply to these units.

Syllabus

This unit offers an introduction to person-centredness, foundational knowledge, skills and attitudes required to be an occupational therapist. Students are introduced to the occupational therapy process and understanding of occupational analysis, interviewing, grading and adapting. The unit guides students through the application of professional behaviours, interpersonal communication and ethics through a variety of practical and fieldwork experiences.
