Navitas Family Bursary

The Navitas Family Bursary applies where two or more students from the same family study at a Navitas institution and is equivalent to 10% of the tuition fee for the first attempt at units in the program of study.

The bursary is credited to the eligible student’s tuition fee account each semester (the amount being relevant to the number of units undertaken in that semester).

Eligibility

  • The first family member can be studying at a Navitas institution at the same time as the other family members or may have studied at any Navitas institution previously.
  • The family bursary is granted to the second and subsequent family members who study at a Navitas institution.
  • The family bursary is not available for students who previously received a Navitas scholarship or bursary, or had a scholarship or bursary from Navitas withdrawn.

Definitions

For the purpose of this bursary, a family member is defined as a husband, wife, brother, sister, mother, father, son, daughter or stepchild.

Conditions

  • Successful recipients will not receive any money from the Navitas member institution. The value of the bursary will be recorded on the student’s account each study period.
  • The bursary does not apply to additional units or repeat units that may also be undertaken.
  • Navitas bursary is not applicable to English language program or any component of any English language program offered by Navitas member institutions.

Navitas member institutions

The Navitas bursary applies to students studying at BCUIC, Curtin College, Curtin Singapore, CRIC, EIBT, EIC, Eynesbury, FIC, HIC, ICM, ICP, ICRGU, ICWS, La Trobe University Sydney Campus, La Trobe Melbourne, LBIC, MIBT, MIBT Indonesia, PDIC, ECC, QIBT, SAIBT, SIBT, Navitas at FAU, Navitas at UMass Boston, Navitas at UMass Dartmouth, Navitas at UMass Lowell, Navitas at WKU and Navitas at UNH only.

Curtin College High Achiever Scholarship

This scholarship is only for international students. It will not extend to your first year at Curtin University.

Please read through the Terms and Conditions below to confirm your eligibility.

Scholarship Terms and Conditions

  • This Scholarship is for full fee-paying, non-sponsored international students.
  • This Scholarship is only for international students at Curtin College. It excludes students enrolled in the Masters Qualifying Program (MQP).
  • This Scholarship is available to students who are packaged with Curtin University.
  • The Scholarship amount cannot be withdrawn by the student.
  • This Scholarship covers a maximum of 15% off the tuition fee for the subsequent Curtin College study period when you have achieved a minimum study period weighted average of 65% in your current study period and enrolled in a full-time study load for the current study period according to your study plan.
  • You are required to pay the full tuition fee amount stated on your Letter of Offer and student invoice, the amount of the scholarship will be credited as a refund in your student account if you have deemed eligible by the Curtin College Scholarship Committee.
  • You will not be eligible for the Scholarship if you are in receipt of any other scholarship/bursary/ sponsorship from Curtin College, Curtin University or any other third party. The scholarship can be revoked at the discretion of the College if you already have a scholarship or sponsorship.
  • This Scholarship is not transferable or refundable.
  • The Scholarship must be taken up in the calendar year for which they are offered.
  • This Scholarship can be revoked if you do not accept your Letter of Offer or enrol into your Curtin College and Curtin University course by the dates specified in your Letter of Offer.
  • The Scholarship will not be extended beyond its prescribed duration or amount unless notified otherwise by the College.
  • Curtin College reserves the right to vary or add to any of these terms and conditions at its discretion with adequate notice.

To retain the scholarship:

  • If you apply for Deferral, you will not be eligible for the scholarship upon your return.
  • If you withdraw, defer or are terminated from your course, you will not be eligible for the continuation of the scholarship.
  • To retain eligibility for the Scholarship (unless there are exceptional circumstances), you must remain enrolled in your initial course at Curtin College and Curtin University (with the exception of your major) according to your study plan and maintain a study period weight average of 65% and pass all units attempted.
  • You must remain enrolled as an international student for the duration of the Scholarship. If your citizenship changes during the Scholarship period, the Scholarship will only be applied to the units you completed as an international student.
  • You must enrol in all units each period according to your approved study plan. which constitutes a maximum of four (4) units of study or a minimum of three (3) units of study.
  • You must not breach the scholarship terms and conditions outlined in this document.
  • You must comply with all other College rules and regulations.

If any of the above conditions are not being met:

  • The scholarship will be removed/revoked and you will be responsible for any outstanding fees.

How to apply

No separate scholarship application is required. All qualifying applications are automatically assessed for the Curtin College High Achiever Scholarship.

Curtin College Academic Bursary

This academic bursary is exclusively for new Malaysian and Indonesian international students commencing programs between June 2024 and March 2025.

Value: AUD $2,000

Eligibility:

  • New Malaysian and Indonesian international students
  • Programs commencing between June 2024 and March 2025

  • Deducted upfront for the first intake tuition fee deposit (which means your offer letter will  show a AUD 2,000 reduction in your tuition fee)
  • Not extendable to other study periods
  • Not deferrable to later commencements
  • Revoked if Letter of Offer is not accepted or enrollment is not completed on time

Retention Conditions:

  • Withdrawal, deferral, or termination from the course makes the student ineligible
  • Must remain enrolled in the initial course at Curtin College and Curtin University (with an exception for exceptional circumstances)
  • Full-time enrollment required in each study period
  • Change in citizenship during the bursary period applies only to completed units as an international student

Non-Compliance Consequences:

  • Bursary rescinded/revoked if conditions are not met
  • Student responsible for outstanding fees
  • No refund for monies paid to the equivalent value of the bursary

Master Qualifying Program Bursary

This Bursary is only for new international students from Bhutan, Cambodia and Sri Lanka. It will not extend to your studies at Curtin University.

Please read through the Terms and Conditions below to confirm your eligibility.

Bursary Terms and Conditions:

  • This Bursary is only for new commencing  Sri Lankan, Cambodian international, full fee-paying, non-sponsored students.
  • This Bursary is only for new commencing students at Curtin College enrolled in the Master Qualifying Program and packaged with Curtin University.
  • The Bursary amount is not refundable.
  • This Bursary provides a maximum of $1,500 AUD which can be offset from your upfront deposit amount when accepting your offer
  • You will not be eligible for the Bursary if you are in receipt of any other scholarship/bursary/ sponsorship from Curtin College, Curtin University, or any other third party.
  • The Bursary can be revoked at the discretion of Curtin if you already have a Bursary or sponsorship.
  • This Bursary is not transferable to any other entity or institution.
  • Students who switch courses or defer their acceptance will not be eligible for this Bursary,
  • Curtin College reserves the right to vary or add to these terms and conditions at its discretion with one month notice.

To retain the Bursary:

  • To retain eligibility for the Bursary (unless there are exceptional circumstances), you must remain enrolled in your initial course at Curtin College and Curtin University (with exception of your major).
  • You must remain enrolled as an international student for the duration of the Bursary.
  • You must enrol and maintain a full study load (4 units) at the College and cannot breach the Bursary terms and conditions outlined above.

If any of the above conditions are not being met:

  • The Bursary will be removed/revoked, and you will be responsible for any outstanding fees.
  • You will not be eligible for a refund of monies paid to the equivalent value of the Bursary.

How to apply:

No separate Bursary application is required. All qualifying applications are automatically assessed for the Curtin College Master of Qualifying Program Bursary.

Diploma Pathway Academic Bursary – Bhutan

The Curtin College Academic Bursary grants eligible Bhutanese students an upfront discount of AUD$ 2,000 for all Curtin College programs, excluding the Master Qualifying Program. This Bursary is only for new international students from Bhutan, and it will not extend to your studies at Curtin University.

Value: AUD $2,000

Terms and Conditions:

  • The bursary is only available for new Bhutanese international students commencing a program in Trimester 2 and Semester 2, 2025. It is not applicable for students who are switching courses or deferring their acceptance to a future study period.
  • In addition to the relevant academic and English entry requirements , students must meet the below minimum grades:

  • Eligible students are entitled to the AUD 2,000 bursary.
  • The bursary amount applies exclusively to your first study period. It will be deducted in advance from the tuition fee deposit, which means your offer letter will show an AUD 2,000 reduction in your tuition fee. This bursary is not extendable to subsequent study periods.
  • The bursary is not deferrable to any commencements beyond the selected intake.
  • This bursary will be revoked if you do not accept your Letter of Offer or enrol into your Curtin College by the dates specified in your Letter of Offer.
  • This bursary is not transferable to any other course or at other Curtin University campus.
  • The bursary can be revoked at the discretion of Curtin if you already have another scholarship, Bursary or sponsorship.
  • Curtin College reserves the right to vary or amend any of these terms and conditions at its discretion.

  • If you withdraw, defer, or are terminated from the course, you will not be eligible for the Bursary.
  • To retain eligibility for the Bursary (unless there are exceptional circumstances), you must remain enrolled in your initial course at Curtin College.
  • You must maintain a full-time enrolment in your study period at the College.

If any of the above conditions are not being met

  • The bursary will be rescinded/revoked, and you will be responsible for any outstanding fees
  • You will not be eligible for a refund of monies paid to the equivalent value of the Bursary.

How to apply:

No separate Bursary application is required. All qualifying applications are automatically assessed for the Curtin College Diploma Pathway Academic Bursary.

Curtin English Language Program Scholarship

In collaboration with Curtin University, Curtin College offers an English Language Program subsidy worth up to AUD$7,008 towards Curtin English courses.

CONDITIONS OF THIS SCHOLARSHIP OFFER:

  • You must be an international, full fee-paying, student who has received a conditional offer (subject to meeting English) to study at Curtin. This Scholarship is not available to Australian citizens or Permanent Residents.
  • You must be undertaking an English Language Program to meet your English Requirement.
  • You must not have met Curtin’s English language requirements for entry into your Mainstream Course and must commence your Mainstream Course at Curtin’s Perth campus in-person or fully online within one year after successfully completing the English Language Program to meet the requirements.
  • You must be studying a full-time undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree by coursework or Higher Degree by Research program of at least 1 year and for a minimum of 200 credit points.
  • You must pay upfront the fees associated with all your English Language Programs PLUS a AUD$1,000 deposit (the Deposit) at the time you accept the packaged offer contained in your Letter of Offer (different requirements apply to Sponsored students – see further below)
  • Curtin will credit the AUD$1,000 Deposit AND the Scholarship of up to AUD$7,008 towards your tuition fee account for use in the second semester of your Mainstream course. If you do not continue to the Mainstream Course (whether you chose to withdraw or due to not meeting the English Requirement), the AUD$1,000 Deposit will be non-refundable.
  • Once you successfully complete your English course, in order to be admitted into your mainstream course, you are required to pay the full Deposit tuition fee of the mainstream course as indicated on the letter of offer.
  • You must progress to your Mainstream Course and maintain your enrolment as an international, full fee-paying, student for at least one semester of your Mainstream Course. If you do not, then the Scholarship will be cancelled and you will not receive the Scholarship either in the form of a credit or refund of the tuition fees for your English Language Program (unless you qualify for any exceptions under the Curtin English Refund Policy).
  • If your English Language Program costs less than the Scholarship, you cannot apply the Scholarship to any other international student expense or claim any remaining portion of the Scholarship. The Scholarship will only be applied to tuition, and enrolment fees.
  • Curtin will not reissue this offer if you have to extend your English Language Program due to unsuccessful English academic progression. If you are unsuccessful in your initial English Language Program, you must pay for any further English courses you choose to study.
  • You cannot spend the Scholarship or cash it in for any other purpose.
  • This offer will not be extended beyond its prescribed duration or amount unless notified otherwise by Curtin in writing.

  • This offer cannot be transferred to a Curtin campus or partner outside Western Australia, or to another university or educational institution.
  • Curtin can cancel this offer if you do not accept your Letter of Offer or enrol in your Mainstream Course by the date specified.
  • If you are a Sponsored student, different requirements apply

(a) If the sponsor covers English Language Program(s) fees under the sponsorship, the sponsor can benefit from this Scholarship. The sponsor will be fully invoiced for the English Language Program as per the sponsorship length. The student will need to sign this offer, as the student will need to meet the terms & conditions of this offer before the sponsor is eligible for offset of the Scholarship, which will be arranged with the sponsor once the student enrols and maintains their enrolment for one semester of their Curtin Mainstream Course. The AUD$1,000 Deposit for the Mainstream course is not required.

(b)If the sponsor does NOT cover the English Language Program(s) course fees under the sponsorship, the student is required to (i) pay upfront the fees associated with all the English Language Programs (ii) sign this offer; and (iii) seek a refund for the Scholarship once the student enrols and maintains their enrolment for one semester of their Curtin mainstream course. The AUD$1,000 Deposit for the Mainstream course is not required.

TO RETAIN THE SCHOLARSHIP

  • You must remain enrolled as an international student for the duration of your English Language Program and at least one semester of your Mainstream Course. If your citizenship changes during this period, you will not receive the Scholarship.
  • You must not breach the conditions outlined in this letter.
  • You must not take a leave of absence or withdraw from any unit or your Mainstream Course.
  • You must not be terminated from your studies by Curtin.
  • You must abide by Curtin’s policies, Student Charter and not be found guilty of serious misconduct.

IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE CONDITIONS IN THIS LETTER

Curtin can revoke the Scholarship at any time at its discretion and you will be liable for the full tuition fees for your English Language Program.
