This unit introduces students to the profession of occupational therapy and the role of occupational therapists in a variety of settings. Students will understand the impact that participating in meaningful occupations and occupational roles has on a person’s health and well-being.

The unit introduces occupational therapy models used to understand humans as occupational beings. Students will analyse how injury, acute and chronic health conditions and disability might impact a person’s occupational performance and engagement.
