Program Overview

The Curtin College Student Ambassador program is a voluntary program open to all past and current Curtin College students who want to get the most out of their university experience and enhance the experience of others. It is designed to create a rich and supportive community for prospective domestic and international students.

This is a brand new program that aims to give our students professional development opportunities including communications, student engagement, event management and marketing.

Position Roles and Responsibilities

Curtin College Student Ambassadors serve as the College’s brand ambassadors and assist in the marketing and outreach of the College to the community.

You will work with a team of other Student Ambassadors, each with their own specialism, to capture various aspects of student life and share them via social media to potential students and their families for 12-months.

Responsibilities include:

  • Research topics of interest to students (eg. Best food on campus, places to visit in Perth, tips on how to find a part-time job etc…)
  • Produce authentic video content that meets the needs of our student community for Facebook, Instagram or TikTok
  • Answer students’ questions on The Ambassador Platform
  • Participate in student engagement activities online or face-to-face
  • Participate in photo and video shoot to promote Curtin College

Eligibility

  • Be a past or current student of Curtin College
  • Commit to attend a training session
  •  Commit to the program for 12-months
  • Commit to at least 5 missions per month for this program (Missions can include attendance at events, social media responsibilities etc…)

Desirable

  • Good social media presence
  • Photography skills
  • Interest in developing public speaking skills

How To Apply

Please read the Role Description carefully to make sure you meet the program requirements and selection criteria before applying.

There will be a two-stage selection process for the Curtin College Student Ambassador program. Your demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment throughout the application process will be taken into account.

1.       Online Application

You need to complete an online application and submit a short video (2-minutes maximum) on one of the following topics, or choose your own:

  • Why did you choose Curtin
  •  What are the best places to study on campus
  •  A day in your life
  •  Why did you choose your field of study

2.       Informal chat

The top candidates will be invited to attend an informal chat with the Marketing team to confirm their suitability for the role. Up to 10 students will be selected for the program.
